As a near zero energy building, Four Park Place consumes little energy for heating, cooling and lighting. What it does require is covered by renewable sources. Part L compliance ensures the building meets national standards for reducing energy use and carbon emissions.
State-of-the-art rainwater harvesting captures and reuses rainwater from the roof, providing a sustainable water solution for core sanitary facilities. Rainwater passes through a leaf filter before being stored in a dedicated collection tank, equipped with level controls, overflow protection and mains water top-up for times of low rainfall.
A proprietary sedum green roof with advanced water attenuation system, installed across a bitumen insulated roof, combines sustainability and durability. Rainwater is efficiently managed through insulated uPVC pipes within the building, transitioning to cast iron pipework in the basement for robust, long-lasting performance.
Four Park Place is designed for exceptional energy performance, featuring high-efficiency LED lighting with intelligent controls, a substantial solar PV array to harness renewable energy and advanced heat pumps supplying both low-pressure hot water (LPHW) and domestic hot water (DHW). High-performance glazing reduces solar gain, keeping interiors comfortable and minimising energy demand.
